There are many women who truly love the idea of having their perfume on before they venture out.
What many don’t realize is that you can come up with your own natural perfume just by following a few simple steps.
The first thing that you can do is get an old perfume bottle that you may have lying around. Take the old perfume bottle and clean it out well. I have found that using a tablespoon of vinegar mixed with a cup of water, will get rid of any old perfume smell. Just ad the ingredients to the perfume bottle, shake it up and allow it to sit for a few minutes. Five minutes should be just long enough to get rid of the smell.
You are now ready to mix up your own homemade natural perfume. Start by adding three cups of water to a pot, add some lavender leaves and allow the water to come to a rapid boil. Once the water starts to boil you can allow it to cool for a few minutes and then add it to your spray bottle. A light gently squirt before venturing out will give you a nice fresh lavender smell. There are a number of fresh scented plants that you can use to get great smelling perfume. If you don’t want the smell of lavender, another popular one is to use fresh lemon scented thyme. You can use the same boiling method that is listed above. This method is really the simplest one to choose. Remember that all you want is the scent on your skin so you really don’t need to create any type of oil.
Some have even found that just rubbing the leaves from the plant between their hands works fine as well. By rubbing the leaves between your hands you will be helping it to release the scent. Once this is done the scent will stick to your hands and you can rub it onto your neck or smooth it onto your legs. You can do this with about any fresh smelling plant that you enjoy the scent of. What is nice about this method is that there are no added dangerous items added to the perfume that can cause you any harm. By going the natural way to add a fresh scent to your body is a really good idea and one that will save you lots of money as well.
